President and Founder of Global Leadership University
Mr Otgonbat is an entrepreneur, politician and a best-selling author of several books on studying in the United States and Taiwan. He is a frequent speaker on leadership and education in Mongolia and recently, he has been lecturing on authentic and adaptive leadership topics for a variety of audiences in Mongolia and abroad. After graduating from Dickinson State University in the United States with a BS in Business Administration, he continued to earn his Graduate Diploma in International Travel/Tourism Management at the University of Queensland in Australia as a Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholar. After ten years of setting up his own university and being active in Mongolian politics, Mr Otgonbat graduated from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government in 2016 with a Master of Public Administration degree (MC/MPA Mason Fellow) and at Harvard, he was selected as several fellows at Harvard Graduate School Leadership Institute and the Center for Public Leadership at the Kennedy School of Government. Mr Otgonbat was also New Generation Fellow at the East-West Center at the University of Hawaii. In terms of public service experience, he held advisory positions under the cabinet of the Mongolian education and finance ministers of Mongolia and worked as chief operating officer of the Millennium Challenge Account-Mongolia. As founder and president of the university, he foresees the strategic direction of the institution, appearing on media on behalf of the university and develops new programs and projects in alignment with GLU’s strategic vision, mission and objectives.
Mr Amartsengel has been appointed as the Executive Director of GLU as of 1 September 2017. Medical doctor by profession, Mr Amartsengel graduated from the National Medical Sciences University of Mongolia with MD degree. With extensive experience in higher education management and private sector in Mongolia and abroad, Mr Amartsengel has been responsible for the day-to-day operations of the university and setting new agendas, initiatives and developing new education programs for the university. He has been especially focused on reforming the quality of the educational offerings at GLU across all schools.
Director of Academic Affairs Division
Mrs Gerelmaa has been serving as the Director of Academic Affairs at GLU since 2017 with her years of experience of working in academic affairs at various universities in Mongolia. She is responsible for day-to-day operations and management of the operations the academic affairs division.
Director of Student Affairs Division
Mrs Bayarjargal has been serving as the Director of Student Services at GLU since 2017 and prior to joining GLU, Mrs Bayarjargal has served as the Director of Health Department of the South Gobi province. Coming from both medical and managerial background, she manages the day-to-day operations of the Student Development Division of the university.
Chief Financial Officer
Mrs. Bilguun Jargalsaikhan is the Director of Finance and Accounting Section of the university and she handles all financial and accounting matters. She is a graduate of Mandakh Burtgel University with a bachelor degree in accounting and also has an associate degree in business administration from the Texarkana College, Texarkana, TX, USA.
Dean of School of Medicine
Dr Punsaldulam is the Dean of the School of Medincine. She is responsible for managing the medical doctor program and also for the research and training programs under the medical school.
Dean of School of Nursing
Mrs Surenkhai is the Dean of the School of Nursing where she manages the day-to-day operations of the school including curriculum development, faculty and student recruitment and research/development of the program. She is also the founder of a national nursing organization, “Nursing Life” which has hundreds of members across Mongolia. She is also a reputable professional in the nursing field with international nursing award.
Dean of School of Business
Mrs Tserennadmid is the Dean of the School of Business and she is responsible for the day-to-day operations of both undergraduate and extension programs under the school. She is a professor of accounting.
Director of Advanced English Programs
Dr Dalvean is a visiting faculty member from the Australian National University with a background in political science. He has been teaching English for the undergraduate and graduate level students, while assisting with academic affairs on the side.
Director of General English Language Programs
Mr Ryan is also a visiting professor from the United States mainly teaching English for undergraduate and graduate level students, while helping to develop the ESL curriculum at GLU.
Dean of General Education Department
Dr Gelegjamts was educated in Germany and worked in higher education for many years. He is responsible for developing the general education curriculum at GLU and manages the day-to-day operations of the department working with his team.
Director of Joint Degree Programs
Mrs Oyun is an ESL teacher who also responsible for managing the English language program for joint degree students, mainly first and second year students.
Director of Undergraduate Program in English Teacher Education
Mrs Oyungerel is the Director of the undergraduate program in English Teacher Education and she is responsible for the program management and student recruitment.
Director of Professional English Programs
Mrs Ulziisaikhan teachers ESL classes for junior and senior level classes for GLU undergraduate students.
